A.J. and Quicksilver

A.J.

Quicksilver

I tell everyone that if A.J. could talk he could really tell some stories.  He is my shadow.  He knows how I like to fix my hair and makeup.  He tries very hard to talk to me.  He is very spoiled and loved very much.  He is a very happy house cat. He and his brother Quicksilver can put on some shows.  He loves having his picture taken.
Quicksilver is the active one out of the two.  He loves to play with Molly and Tiny.  He loves attention and keeps things going.  As you can see he is sleeping after a long day of playing.

Helpful Facts

Never feed your pet chocolate, onions, garlic, or grapes.
Chocolate will cause seizures, coma, and eventually death.
Onions & garlic can cause anemia.
                Grapes can cause kidney damage.

It is best if your dog or cat eats food made for them.  A dog can eat cat food but a cat should never eat dog food.  Dog food lacks the nutrients that cats need to stay healthy.

If you see your cat or kitten playing with a lizard, take the lizard away immediately.  A lizard is very toxic to cats.  If you know that your cat has eaten a lizard take it to a vet as soon as possible.  It will make you cat very sick and could lead to death.

Tiny

This is Tiny our Chihuahua.  He was rescued by my brother from a family who could no longer take care of him.  When Tiny became part of our family he was very thin and shy.  It took some time but he is now king of the house.  He is happy, healthy, and loved very much.  He has an easy going attitude and thinks he is a big as they come.  Tiny only weighs 7.5 pounds.
Tiny is Molly’s partner in crime. The two of them are always playing and running wide open through the house.  Missy believes that she is their mother.  She tries to get them to behave themselves.

A Vet

A vet is very important for a long and healthy life for your pet.  You need to find a vet that you can talk to and understand.  It is best to take your new pet to the vet as soon as possible to make sure that everything is okay.
Dogs and cats need yearly shots to stay healthy and free of disease.  They also need to take Heart guard once a month to prevent the deadly heartworm disease.

Size Matters

Large dogs need a wide open space to be able to run and exercise. It is also nice if there is a child to play with the animal. They also eat more than small dogs.  Small dogs are great inside or outside.  They usually cost less to maintain.

Missy's Story

Missy was found by some soldiers near Camp Shelby.  She had been at the animal shelter for about 2 months.  When my family and I saw her for the first time, we feel in love with her.  There was something about her eyes that just caught our attention.  I then went to talk to the manager of the shelter.  I found out that I could feel out some paper work to be able to bring Missy home for 2 days for a trail run.  We have cats at the house and wanted to make sure that they could get along.
When we got Missy home, we realized that she was already house trained and was an all around well mannered dog.  We fell more in love with Missy and decided to adopt her.  She has been a part of our family for 3 years.
